We were tasked with designing a new office for Harley Davidson at PLUS in the heart of Singapore’s CBD. The forward-thinking company would evolve to a long-term hybrid working model, transforming how the office runs and how staff would work in this post covid era.
With only 50% of the workforce in at any one time, creating a space that staff would enjoy using was vital. The brief called for different areas that would foster communication and collaboration.
With that in mind, the space was divided into a few key areas: a central working zone, two internal meeting spaces (which could double up as private offices), and a café style breakout space adjoining the main meeting area. This space can be closed off for board meetings or opened up for large ‘town-hall meetings’ or events. Small working pods, and phone booths, line the main workspace providing quiet working zones and informal discussion space.
We used a simple material palette of light wood, greys and white throughout the office to allow the company’s iconic branding to take centre stage.
Ample space was allowed throughout the office to showcase the brand and re-enforce the company values, history and culture. This included not only floor-to-ceiling images and merchandising but also four physical bikes.
